Victorian Government Endorses Smart Meter Program

At the completion of its review of the smart meter program the Victorian Government has announced that the program will continue and that all customers will have a smart meter installed.
CitiPower and Powercor welcome the decision because of the benefits it will bring to all our customers. Benefits include:
- Access to electricity consumption information in real time that will enable customers to better understand and manage their energy usage and bills
- Remote meter readings that improve accuracy of customers’ bills by minimising estimated readings
- Faster connection and disconnections when moving home which reduces the cost of relocation
